Bjorn's first Confederate button -- North Carolina State Seal Coat Button -- shank is missing, backmark is not legible. But it's a nice recovery. These buttons were known to lose the eyelet quite frequently, thus it was lost.

were Bjorn's finds from a Virginia hunt near the Chancellorsville Battlefield. Top Row: North Carolina State Seal Button, Eagle Button, Eagle Button, lead blob, fired minie ball shrapnel, Confederate round ball. Row 2: 2 Confederate Round Balls. Row 3: Knapsack hook, handsaw emblem nut, flat button (backmarked "Thomson Baltimo"), Confederate round ball, Union round ball marked "U S", Gardner bullet, Sharps Carbine bullet (fired). Bottom Row: small buckle, 3 Union minie balls ( one star-base, one swage-base), brass clip.

Got out for a quick hour or so.... in search of,some local " Dorsey" history.... was surpirsed to dig a rather large croatal bell, and a colonial flat button. ( Bobby)

6 lb cannon shot recovered from nearby civil war that housed the Massachusetts volunteer militia.....and Cooks battery guarded the railways.

Civil war era cap that the landowner has, the cap belonged to a 16 year old dispatcher for Jeb Stuart. the boy was too young to fight, but ran horseback to Richmond to various recons......very cool!!!
